Excuse my ignorance, but in the first picture, what is that phone in the upper left? It looks like a completely smooth face with a flush screen.

Thats the W980 With built-in 8GB memory
. Its a flip-up.

I find it slightly odd that we haven't seen one sample of video taken with the x1. Plenty of still pictures though. What gives? is video not functional in the protos or is the quality just abominable?

It's a computer mouse.

Question about WM third-party contact managers. Do they all use the same database of contacts or do they each create their own database?

Well while I do not know much about third party contact managers, I am pretty sure they would use the same database. (I am 99% sure )

So far, the only operator that seem to be giving out the same info is Vodafone, who still claim it should be available from 5th October. Sod's law that it's the operator that brand their phone to hell, and the one that I can't get a signal with in my house lol.

What a nightmare! lol

I too cant get signal from vodafone, I want the x1 on o2 uk. I will ring them tomorrow, and kick off. night

Video quality was excellent on the prototypes. Check out post #204 on this page in the BengalBoy review of the X1. There is a link to download a video file taken straight from the X1. There are some videos from older ROMs in post #113 of the same review.

Off topic:
I just saw the Microsoft "I'm a PC" ad. It sounds like the people are saying, "I am a pu**y"

I couldn't help but laugh.

I know one thing for sure...if they include that Johnny-X movie with the X1, I'm going to send the X1 back and buy a different phone.
