2.4 surely much more faster then 1.6
centrino strong point is just power saving and build in wifi .. nothing much interesting

i wouldnt bet on that...
the way i look at it, the prices will start to drop when intel releases 'dollarino'
wether the p4-m is 1.7ghz or 2.4ghz, it'll still run at 1.2ghz when it is unplugged from the outlet unless they start installing
this in sbc
but yes, p4-m is much more powerful than centrino multimedia wise.
ps. i still dont get wtf is diff between 512 n 1024 cache, care to explaiin?
i know i should wait for bro to answer this but a pcmcia wifi card will cost u around rm200 whereas a 'minipci' combo (modem + wifi) card comes as an upgrade option (if applicable)

The new processors used in the centrino package is called Banias not P4 or P4M. Centrino is not the name of the processor, its the package. Instead of the standard 512kb cache on the normal P4 and P4M, the Banias has 1024kb cache !! The cache is a temporarry tempat simpanan for imformation travelling between the processor and SDRAM, DDR RAM or what eva. That is why I am stuck as to which darn processor I shud get !! internal cache 512 vs 1026 not gonna make a helluva diff if u r running p4 with anything more than 256mb ram......besides, the new HDD coming with any current notebook is >20GB and WinXP handles the memory swap issues pretty nicely......

its on offer now....wat i like best is that it comes with both a touchpad and a nipple pointer...i *of coz* prefer the nipple pointer
32mb video is cool too.....and it's light...only 2.2kg.....
