Thanks once again sir.........the account which was wrong I deleted...the others are at least working so I will delete and RENAME them appropraitely when i feel more comfortable with the device, seeing as you cant edit the names.
I have tried your backlight reply...it was actually unticked anyway but i ticked and then unticked again.... but it still goes off automatically after 5 mins.and i have to press the power button again.
Re the gprs.......again that was where i was looking it actually shows my network with a bargraph...AND THE O2 GPRS says connected too
Can i be a pain and ask one final question for toda if you dont mind?
what method did u use to transfer contacts to the jasjar......ive tried many methods with no joy........i have the p910 with orange and obviously O2 with the xda exec

if you have done as I suggested, you're backlight is almost certainly not turning off. In fact the whole device is turning off as there is a separate setting in settings, system tab, power, advanced tab then "turn off device if not used for...". disable that and the device will stay on and the backlight will also stay on

I always sync my phones wih outlook to get contacts, calendar, notes, tasks etc over to the phones

Hi again Masseur
I am finding it difficult to turn the device "OFF" AS OPPOSED to "SLEP" ie just the backlight off..........i never noticed it at the weekend as i always had it on charge and never realised but today whilst out and about the battery drained, when I presumed I had it turned "OFF" it must oly have been on sleep.........in your valued opinion is this a fault of the power button where it doesnt turn off completely?

are you pressing and holding or just doing a quick press? its the latter that is required to turn it off and on. I've had no issues with that at all

Thanks AGAIN...........i must seem like an ass(probably because I AM lol).........but in my defence i will say that in the manuall there are certain parts EVEN I skip............thinking erm i dont need to know how to turn the device on and off..............how WRONG was I lol.......but you would have thought it would be the other way around wouldnt you hard press for off and low press for energy conservation.
off topic and just a gen observation the contacts listing and options from that arent as good as the p910's I dont think..............whats your opinion?

you're kidding aren't you? its been a while since I have the P series but I'm sure the P series never had the vast array of fields that the windows mobile devices have

if you don't use MS outlook on PC you are missing out a bit because so so much of its content gets synced to the windows mobile 5 device.

I'll post screen captures of the windows mobile contact here for people to compare and maybe agree with you or me.

its not just the fields and i admit i havent had time to look thoroughly yet.................but for a start u can have so many mobile numbers in p910 and each gives you eg option to txt to...............useful in this age wen so many ppl esp young crowd i hang with that have 2 sometimes 3 different mobile numbers,,,,,,,,and maybe the functionality is made easier by the jog dial and top right button on the p910 to access options to work with a number whilst in contacts?
