Yeah - Its just that with Vodafone network, it seems that the GPRS bar goes away after a while like the one in the pictures, happened with the my K750i, so was just curious!

Great review btw! good job.

hmmm. can't say I had noticed that before but a quick phone reset brings it back to normal.

speaking of which, I do find the "off" animation does take an inordinately long time. Pressing both off buttons one my k750 and w800 at the same time, the w800 takes 2-3 times longer to shutdown and I'm sure this is not changeable

Not as impressed with the w800i as it thought i would be,
the phone already creaks on the right hand side when pressing the menu or cancel buttons, and i personally dont rate the headphones that highly they look alot better than they sound but do the job as long as you keep the volume at a resonable level. Forget using MEGABASS unless you have Bionic Hearing as the tiny speakers just cant seem to cope when pushed.

Why cant the media player show my .3gp movies? i just get a red screen with with sound, Have to investigate this further.

They should have made the memory stick slot cover on the W800i similar to that of the P910i which is rigid but easier to open, plus it being colour coded blends in nicely with the rest of the phone, W800i memory slot cover looks plain CRAP.

A welcomed addition the USB cable/charger.
Camera shutter that actually launches camera mode AT LAST.

No case for the phone but a nice bright orange case for my memory sticks, SE set the standards folks.

Great camera and Walkman features love the RDS radio with song info.

Good device just not a great one.

Thanks for the review Masseur, for some reason I thought the handsfree connector was a 2.5mm jack, thanks for clearing that up.

I can confirm it is definitely 3.5mm so compatible with most normal earphones.

not really a review, more just on going comments which anyone can add to.

I guess it makes more sense to provide a 3.5mm socket in an external cable unlike on the p series where space on the housing is at a premium

That is very good of SE to make it a 3.5mm jack, so people can use there own headphones!

One thing i did wonder, is that in the pre-release shots you see a track name and title and the progress bar in full screen (bit like an ipod) - did that make it to the final release, its something that i think the K750 should have had (even thou its not a dedicated walkman phone like the W800).

So far i've been very impressed (bar the colour scheme) with the W800!

masseur what audio software (if any) is provided with W800? I'm assuming it doesn't support atrac since SE don't mention this as a supported audio format, so guessing they don't supply the crap Sonic Stage (which as far as I understand only rips omg atrac audio files)?
