Hard to tell though, I thought they'd never start selling the T68 in the US, but they are now.
Infact, most people here have no idea what the P800, T300, T200, is. They barely just found out about the T68 with a cool color screen.

If the T300 is really US$220 (Even better at $200 or lower) then SE really does have a chance. Although I still think they should've made it look like the T65 instead.

The T300 should have been made to look like the Seimens 3118 , then it would have been a killer phone complete with looks and all ...
Does anyone know of other SE colour screen phones that is out soon besides the T300 and P800 ? :-)

Ericsson ready to hang up on Sony

Swedish telecommunications equipment maker Ericsson said on Friday it would pull out of handset-making and end its cooperation with Sony if their mobile phone joint venture does not deliver satisfactory results in the next two or three quarters.
"The message is clear. We will not make the same mistake again," Ase Lindskog told Reuters.
"We will not put any more capital into the joint venture if it does not show results. This means unless its products quickly catch on," she said.
She declined to specify what results Ericsson would consider acceptable.
A retreat from the now unprofitable handset production, which Ericsson confirmed was still part of its core business on Aug. 13, would mark a further shrinking of the once mighty company whose operations span from telecoms cables to defense systems.
Loss-making Ericsson, the world's biggest producer of mobile networks, is now struggling to return to profit sometime in 2003 amid sagging demand for its products. It recently said a rebound for weak markets was nowhere in sight.

I feel sorry for Ericsson. I don't think their current lineup can save them:
P800 - caters to a niche market only
T68i - fantastic but still hobbled by the classic Ericsson clunkiness
T300 - freaking ugly! it will NEVER appeal to the market
T600 - I like this phone but I think most would rather get a Nokia 6510
T200 - frankly I'd rather get T65 or R600 than this...
I'm beginning to think that the joint-venture made things WORSE!

At least most of t guys are going to buy the P800...that would give SE some profit at least..... I think that they are taking soo long with the P800 cause they want it to be PERFECT. Then no one cant rant bout it and they can snatch sales from the 7650. That would be great :-):-):-) !!!

Argh, I hope they do better, because I'd hate having to go with NOKIA and I will feel really stupid with a phone that says SonyEricsson when the company doesn't exist anymore!
