hahayyy... i just realized its pointless to keep myself in using the joystick to save from counts... if i wont use the joystick better not use the phone altogether...there's no point in worrying about the joystick count...we'll go nuts or ill even
before even the joystick reaches million count...

This is an old trick and it only works for wap browsing. Press the options button for 2 seconds while on standby mode and you will automatically be connected to your predefined wap homepage. Kinda lame but saves joystick moves.:-) This message was posted from a T68i

Hi I have a solution.

I had a problem with my t630 joystick to. It did not respond at all loads of times.
Well I ran to the store bought WD40 (loads of other stuff you can use that to like crackling volume controls.).
You open your phone:
this is dutch put it contains excelent pistures http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_messages/942139
the top is the hardest to open.
With a screw driver you just lift it up a bit. Now SLIDE the top of.

once you know it is easy.

For the rest remove the keyboard and the joystick button. Now drop a couple of drops onto your joystick and press and play with it for a bit so the WD40 can sink in. Clean up all the mess on the side so that it is good and dry.
After 20 minutes put back together your phone again and for me it worked like a charm again. Like it was new.

PLease note that I am not responsible for any broken phones trying this out. I think it is safe and for me it worked perfectly. But be carefull with spilling wd40 as it is conductive. Also do not USE the CAN spray. Spray a bit on a stick so you can make small drops and put that on the joystick....

Good luck....

Firefreak, I believe the joystick counter was only on the T68i (and maybe some later models, but definitely not the K750i).

My joystick is already becoming unresponsive . I tried vacuuming dust/dirt out of it, it improved it a bit but not a great long term solution.

Mmm, avoiding the joystick doesn't seem like a sane solution to me. Why would someone want to use a device "half-way"
Do joysticks really break that often?
I have never had a bad experience with any of my previous SE cell phones.
I'm just gonna enjoy the joystick of my K750 without all this paranoia!!!

just incase the remo who wanted to get into the menu without using the stick still hasn't worked it out - assign menu to the right shortcut key!
