We are getting rain in Central FL. The storm should hit land at about 08:00 am. It is 12:54 am and still raining. No strong winds yet. Some Tornado watches here and there.

Miami and the Keys should feel those forces first.

Watching FOX NEWS correspondent talking live from Everglades City. Winds don't look to bad, but reports of damge and flooding coming in.

The eye is heading for Miami, currently Category 3, 120mph winds.

Good Luck guys!

Edit: Reports of significant winds at Naples, FL
Winds increasing in Everglades City.

Edit2: Widespread flooding in Key West, over 800,000 customers without power in eastern Florida.

Edit3: Significant winds in Everglades City, debris flying, FOX correspondant (reporting via Video phone) had to dodge a large piece of roofing iron! 1 fatality so far - Man killed by falling tree in Coral Springs.

Sunny skies expected in Southern Florida about 4-5pm Local time.
Wilma is moving quite fast.

Edit: Watching correspondant in Everglades City. A 2nd piece of roofing iron went past at head height! Caught live on video phone...

Edit2: Gusts of 112mph just recorded in Everglades City, 300,000 people without power in Miami-Dade County, 40,000 in West Palm Beach. Police ordered off the streets in Miami.

Just seen Am-Cam footage of a Water-spout off the Florida Keyes recorded earlier - Incredible!

i just drove to work... abotu 6 miles away, and they called and told me i didnt have to work today haha, once i was already there!
its supposed to be clear at 4-5 in miami? thats crazy. it wont be clear here till late. but i guess thats becuase its going north and west, and we are getting the top of the storm where most of the rain happens.

it was weird driving, noone was on the road, but it wasnt real bad. the news just said it will be gettnig bad here at about 10-11-12 and its 9 now... so here we gooo, the bad part should be over pretty fast.

my power has been fading in and out, but never fully went out. but as i said, it sucks here, so im ready for it to go out!

ill be driving later, so ill look for some pics to take

oh, and a few tornados in Cocoa beach. (one main one)

edit: Wow, weather.com says that the rain where we are at will stop around 4, and will be totally clear around 7. crazy

and on the news they said a ladys house blew over. she was in her bed, and her house blew over, and her matress landed on top of her and saved her life...weird

Satelite imaging shows the eye over Fort Lauderdale at present.

Fox Correspondant in West Palm Beach almost unable to speak / difficult to stand even under a verandah... He's directly in the path of the storm... Unbelievable images!

Edit: Wilma currently Category 2 100 mph gusts sustained, 4-10 inches of rain.

Edit2: Governor Jeb Bush (George W's brother) holding press conference at 10am EST.
Looks like Orlando has missed the worst fortunately.
