i don't think k750 or w800 even come close to n90.
n90's camera is superb even if the colors are not that natural .
in fact k750 is overpriced with crap os if somebody doesn't know what a smartphone or 3g is then k750 is definitely for them . and w800 is just a marketing gimmick to sell old crap what can it do play mp3's? so can almost every phone released after 2004. what else you can do increase battery life by switching off phone part? just another gimmick . how many se smartphones released till date support 3g? and about people telling me that i praise
n91 without even being released then same question applies to those who are praising hardware and software of p990 without even seeing it.
@Tetsugaku-San
what i really meant was that there are very few people around the world interested in SE phones nothing has changed in q3 every major company has grown more than SE except SAMSUNG

please excuse me if I'm a bit thick, but how is a phone that can't read half of a PC's files (that's what a smartphone does after all), and just has pretty icons (i.e. a series 60 phone) a smartphone? a "vaguely more intelligent than a fish" phone maybe......
do N90/1/2 owners stare at bright lights, mezmerized, for a long time too?

I sometimes envy SE so-called Smartphone users, i really do. The thought of them fiddling about with a stylus aboard a swaying bus or packed train, poking holes in their touchscreens really makes me think... How smart is that?
Granted, the SE P-series has some features that Nokia could absolutely do with, but on average i'm perfectly content with my 6600. It has the features which satisfy my needs, i.e. Brilliant ebook reader, good screen and it's cheap. Oh, and it merely requires ONE hand to operate.
However, SE is still in its infancy in comparison to Nokia. I'm certain that, given time, they'll come up with something that is Symbian, is affordable and is of decent build quality. I can't believe ppl are still denying the fact that many recent SE offerings are of putrid build. The very fact that so many topics are started bemoaning this very fact is proof thereof. Yes, ALL manufacturers DO produce some Monday phones, but SE seems to be hell-bent on winning the trophy...

sometimes? i was on the understanding that nokia owners came over to SE forums to begrudge us our stylii in some sort of pe~!s envy?
I've got nothing against the nokia phones, they perform a function, it's just when people come and tell us that a n92 is gonna bash a p990 on performance, they need bringing back to the real world. It may beat it on other things, but as a smartphone, there's only one may to go (until MS worts out it's OS properly anyway)

In my oppinion a phone can't be *Smart* without a touch-screen input.
And I don't care what blokia users say.
For me, a phone without touchscreen, it's like a Windows or Mac without a mouse cursor.

Can you Nokia lovers please get real?
You canīt compare a symbian Nokia with a K750 or W800 and you can definitely not compare a P990 to a N92.
Most people donīt need or want functions in a symbian Nokia. Thatīs why K750 and W800 is more popular.
N92 isnīt near P990 in functions and donīt focus on same target group.
And you who said N90 got a cam much better than K750 and W800.. please get a other hobby then pissing people of.

Very big clamshell + no wifi... It can't compete with the p990. They aren't in the same category either
why not? they are both symbians, and they are both under smartphone category.

The phones are made to different people. Itīs like comparing a skoda felicia to a mercedes ML.
Skoda Felicia a Mercedes ML500 killer????
Is that a good subject?

perhaps the question should be do the general phone buying public really distingush between a smartphone and non smartphone.
i think on esato the answer is yes thats why we come here, however we are less than 1% of the phone market.
most people buy phones on looks price and features, so you can compare in my opinion phones that cost similar amounts of money and have a similar feature set.
the average buyer i believe is fisrt turned on by the look of a product (which is subjective) then the price then what it ccan do for them
lets be honest most people text make phone calls take pics and listen to a bit of music on there phone.not everyone but most phone users.

In the UK at any rate, I think we've got quite a perverse market, skewed as it appears to be towards the 'yoof' of today.
I always remember what my 12-yr-old lad said when he first saw my P910 -- "Has it got any good games on it?"
Do British kids even make phone calls these days ...? Most of 'em seem to be too busy texting or tip-tapping on MSN or drinking cider
