If you have downloaded the software and installe dit you should now have a desktop icon that is called:
UPDATE SERVICE
You click this twice and usually get a server busy message but please keep trying. Once you get through the whole process is guided. IE. It tells you exactly what to do.
The only flaw i found is if you plug the phone into the cable (usb) when it says so and windows then finds new hardware...this can sometimes halt the whole process and in which case you close the update and try again.
It really is so so simple and i am failing to see why so many people have errors with it. The same people then blame sony for their own mistakes and ineptitude.
So basically use a huge chunk of common sense and follow the on screen instructions. If no updates are available for your phone at that time then leave it alone.....unless you have a fetish for breaking or modding phones.
