As for the UK having US listening posts, they have alot more besides, You'll have heard of the USAF base at Diego Garcia, well it a UK territory, and the UK government evicted 100's of the indiginious peoples, and left them to die on a ship left to drift, so they could let the US use the island. When some of the locals tried to return to what is their home, the US guards shot them dead, for....trespass.
That is really quite shocking,i don't know how our govt can get away with such barbaric acts of murder, all for what so that the americans can spy on us?...makes me wonder what the real agenda is behind all of this?..so many questions come to mind yet we may never get anywhere near the actual truth,..makes me think if this was the same lot behind 9/11...would'nt surprise me one bit.

All I can say, is tip of the iceberg.
You really have no idea the scale of what goes on, believe me, thats what you know about, or can see.
As for the UK having US listening posts, they have alot more besides, You'll have heard of the USAF base at Diego Garcia, well it a UK territory, and the UK government evicted 100's of the indiginious peoples, and left them to die on a ship left to drift, so they could let the US use the island. People think the US is bad for spying on it's own, but the UK population is widely acknowledged as the most spied on population in the world, by their own government. In the UK the average person is photographed, videoed, or electronically watched around 300 times a day, on the basis that you are asleep say 7 hours a day, and going on the basis your out and about the rest, your watched thats 18 times an hour, or once every 3 minutes!!!
There's a CCTV camera for every 16 people in the UK.
Thats called being watched!
but with all the photograps, videotapes, telephone calls, sms, internet activity recorded...whats do they do??
few 100 people cant go through billions of photos, videos even though telephone calls and net activity can be screened to an extent.
in such terrorised world,India seems really calm...in the past 6 months, about half a dozen bomb blasts, few terrorist attacts(even yesterday at a premier scientific research institute) took place in India.investigations r ordered by the govt, security is beefed up...but within a month, its all back to normal,no findings of investigation, security as before and people forget it...till the next attack comes.and life goes on.

Does anybody of you remember the movie, where a newsanchor takes charge and tells ppl to open their window and yell out " I have enough I am not taking it anymore", where he tell people to write to the white house that sentence and their are drowning in mail and at the end commits suicide on live TV? I forgot the title.

..I forgot to mention the Uk govt latest brainwave. By May 2006 you will not be able to drive ANYWHERE on a public road in the UK without the full details of the journey being recorded and databased.
May 06 is the due completion date of the National Crime Advisory Service, track and trace system being complete, essentially every vehicle on every road in the UK will be recorded, it will cover 99.8% of all drivable public roads in the UK.
Happy motoring!!
