indeed, the POOR battery life being the biggest reason not to get one.
whats the point in having 500hrs of music if all you get is 15hrs life lol

i think SE should go back to the stiffer/thicker materials for housings. the squeaks and creaks on the K750 are simply caused by too much flexing when you press on them. i never had any of those problems with my T39 or T68.
having said that, the build quality of the W900 is absolutely top notch. extremely solid, not a single squeak, creak or rattle, and has a very precise, expensive and high end feel to it. well done SE!
finally, with regard to the walkman thingy, i prefer using my W900 to an ipod or any other mp3 player simply because i don't want to carry a separate device for music. but more importantly, i like being able to crank my music yet not have to worry about missing calls or messages.

DragonEye, I don't think it's excessive, just more subtle in the 810.
Plus the fact it's black not WHITE AND ORANGE!!

referring to the original post, i personally do think after the w810 the walkman branding should go on hold for a bit. SE already hsve thier foot firmly in the door with music phones .if anyone is going to want a phone for its mp3 capabilities im sure retailers will suggest SE walkman phones. All in all SE should now be focusing on high end quality models such as the k750 and the fantastic s700i, and improve on those models.

QVGA screen though.
All i am saying is SE need to rethink their tactics.
It shouldnt be about market shares or whatever.
It should be about producing high quality phones. thats what se used to be about, it didnt matter if they were the top manufacturer or not it was all high quality.
That is what almost killed Ericsson.

need to think about market shares.
If

get more of the market it will probably make more profit and that will make it easier for

to expand it's portfolio.

needed a high end walkman in the US to boost sales over there.
I also belive that

is getting out these walkman phones right now bacause they are waiting for UIQ3 te be completed. Come march we will se some great things.

the walkman brand is the most famous brand there ever was. when u talk bout music u usually talk bout the walkman. for protable msuic device that is not even brand walkman we call them walkman. so it was a great idea for SE to put the walkman logo back into their phones.

yes but not everyone? surely? not everyone in the whole world likes walkman.
it is a brilliant idea but the walkman mp3 players never really caught on like zen and ipod. maybe se should slow down walkman phones and release some high quality imaging ones or fashion ones like the V3 but bursting with features.

but the features are all there... the walkman is only one aspect....
i personally think this is the best shot to completely revise the walkman name.

for people who have used the walkman brand im sure they will come back and start using it again. walkman started the whole portable music device revolution and im sure they will be on top again....but they just need some time.
on another note...they are dicontinuing the k750i becuase of the w810.
