Those are valid points, however, I believe my point still stands. Those terrorists obviously didn't care whether or not they were carrying out their attack in Indonesia or Australia. If they wanted to attack Australians then why not stage an attack in Australia itself? The answer is likely because that would have been more difficult.
Indonesians were thus put in harm's way because those terrorists decided to carry out their attack in Indonesia even though their primary target was Australians.
It is simila to the bombings in Turkey, which were directed against British interests. Turkish people were put in harm's way, the terrorists presumably didn't mind the possibility of Turkish casualties.
The bombing in Jordan can be seen in a similar light. Ostensibly targeting Western intelligence agents the bombing was bound to cause damage to the hotel as a whole and quite possibly hurt or kill those inside, including Jordananians. The group responsible obviously ralised that such an atatck did them harm in the Muslim world and issued an apology I believe.
What we see then is that terrorist attacks can occur in just about any country if the terrorists consider there to be a viable target there.

I just felt that the attacks in Indonesia were as much to do with regional concerns as they were about the global politics behind the attacks against the US and Britain. However I agree that our sending of troops to Afghanistan/Iraq certainly wouldn't have curried any favours in the minds of the muslim extremists in Indonesia.
