@rookwise,i was offended by your assumption about my reading prowess which was totally uncalled for.i was not criticising you,just that thingy on the w550i,but u made it personal with that comment which led to my post.think 'bout it,if every1 would do their own research&work on a trial&error basis,there would be no need for such forums.v all r very important people in our respective worlds having our respective likes&dislikes/opinions but let's not make it personal.u have been here 2 years now while i'm just 2 weeks thru on esato,i'm still getting 2 know u guys.take it easy.
btw,i have always preferred the dpad to a flimsy joystick.

X700 is 1,500 Rs cheaper than W550i ...so i am in bit of a muddle pls help...but i have never used a samsung before...but CNET Asia has given X700 a Editor's choice

As far as reliablity is concerned SE fones r more reliable than the samsung ones.Plus the w550 is a walkman fone.N the SE UI is usually better than samsung.

i ll tell you why you MUST buy this phone. the D PAD navigation is a million times better than joystick. firmware upgrade thru gprs. the swivel looks freakin stylish as hell. it has certain advanced jsr support which even k750i lacks. goto developer.sonyericsson.com to know what am talkin bout. THE SOUND. only phone other than k600i to have in built netfront browser which can resume downloads:)
