I have to say I have some sympathy with the original poster. I once tried to open a PayPal account, it was very complicated and in those days there was no way to contact a human being so I gave up. I now recive about three emails a month supposedly coming from PayPal telling me various storys about my account!
So I thought lets talk to PayPal about it, and surprise suprise I can find no way of checking them out and there does not seem to be any fraud reporting tools on the PayPal site it convinces me that Paypal do not care if you are being ripped off, so I will NEVER again attempt to open an account with them bunch of shysters so now I only deal with traders who accept personal cheques its much safer and cheaper for all concerned.

This happened to me sort off. I bought a jacket off ebay for £14 the money came out of my account but then paypal paid £14 back into my account twice, my bank account not my paypal account, so does that mean the person lost £28 because they never got in touch? I feel guilty now.

Love this thread! Its such a good read lol, i mean bitching about paypal is way too fun...dont get me wrong, I do feel for all those ppl who have lost out, trust me Im one of them!
I've had to recently close down my PayPal acc. cause I was bout to get shafted with a claim that they didnt receive a phone; fat chance with it being special del...better this than anything cause I'll be damned if Im getting screwed! (Happend before even tho I used Special Del)...anyway paypal the *use ur imagination* will undoubtedly give a refund and not give a toss bout the phone..so I'll be phone-less & £220 out!
Closing down my eBay account too now, just cant be arsed with it, such a hassle... feels like I lose more than I make lately! Have been trying to close it for 3 days but the international assholes wont do it straight away for some stupid reason - if anyone knows why please let me know! Cheers!
Anyway solving all problems with these shitty scamming buyers is: Get the persons address, take a few 'huge-hulk-built-like-arnold' lads with ya and pay them a 'nice' visit
Anyway thats my bitch about it, sorry bout the long read!

@ syrus - their a bunch of cools these scammers, like they say they didnt get a phone when its sent special del is a load of bull, I have sent over 200 tiems over the persios year by special and not one of them has been lost, its literlly full proof. But paypal don't even take into consideration a prof od postage, it has the winners name and postcode on and stamped by the post office, Id like to ask the md of paypal how the f**k that isnt proof of postage?
(im glad you enjoy reading about this lol - I like to bring stuff like this to the peoples oppinion)
I used to handle cheques over ebay, but did find I got lower prices, so decided to take paypal, but have found I never had one cheque bounce, but have been "bummed" by paypal so many times
and @ thami or who you are - to be honnest I don't believe you achaully thought you would try to screw over someone who has just screwed you, even for petty revenge you were probally in it for the money, and thats if they really screwed you. Im sorry but I just can't believe you would do something like that as it goes agaisnt logic and human nature

As Ghandi has said and been quoted on many times - 'An eye for an eye makes the world blind'.
