Here is something useful : To highlight text ( eg. sms or posting on esato ), HOLD your sliding volume key down or up then use your arrow keys to move left, right, up or down to highlight the text. :-o I use this when i want to delete a large chunk of text. Much faster. Besides this, i dont know what else to use this feature for.... He anyone has other uses or tips and tricks, please tell. After all, this is a thread for us. :-o This post was posted from a R520

I'm new to this forum and have a question...

I'm running R2G on my R520m and I'm going to get it updated to R4A.
Currently, I am getting very poor battery life. I have to charge the phone everynight and it only lasts ONE day!

Will the firmware flash fix the battery life problem or is there something else wrong?

Thanks in advance!

-Anthony

the update will not fix your phones short battery life... check so you don't have IR or Bluetooth activated, the display light should be set to "Automatic"...

If even that doesn't help, then there is something wrong with your tranceiver. Bring it to a service center I had the same problem once

like me hehe... my prototype r520m...

i'm on hofo with the same name...

ok to reply to the iat-10 antenna, i'm in canada and i know some ppl using that antenna and they say it DOES have an effect on 1900 spectrum

as well, if the antenna IS really discontinued, there seems to be an aftermarket one that works just as well as an oem...

@arossi, the tranceiver is the part that connects the battery to the phone. If the phone is under warranty u will get it for free. The battery is being drained... The phone is shorting...
