I used to use yahoo's offering for windows mobile but they closed the portal and you can no longer use their own client
there is also an ICQ beta version 1 (its been beta for a couple of years now) which still works fine but MSN probably the best option on WM5 as its fully integrated including full hotmail support

Also..SPB Pocket Plus recommended by masseur is a must-have app... other than a great desktop and other features..it also adds multi window browsing capability to the inbuilt ie browser

for eg when I tried to download a .wmv file it gave me e text written page...
do I have to download any download manager program before downloading anything.
