No use... The phone shows an error of Apn.. It says communication error. Please check your settings or try again. I have the sim of bsnl on my se phone.

writing mistake!!!!!
use APN AS = mms.e.po ( try mms.e.pr also)
bcoz u r from east=that is why using "e" in apn!!!
i my last post i wrongly wrote mms.n.po!!!!
dat is not right for U!!!
now try send mms to any mms 2 any mms/gprs activated phone no!!!
see it works or not!!!!

@alands for settings u need to check your phone manufacturers site. U can't trust the chaps of bsnl cc for the settings, and to get gprs activated u need to write down an application, but for the portal service u have to send sms
"portal" to 3733. well i had it activated very easily
i fail to understand why u guys are facing problem in gettin portal activated
@freworld4u U MAYBE RIGHT, old settings may be in use in my area
and here are my setings for portal
apn: celloneportal (without ".in")
ip: 192.168.51.163
tats it!!
so i guess i need to wait until and unless they implement the new settings here!
hey i even tried sending mms through portal apn
but it failed!!!

i m surfin nowa days with bsnl gprs onlyy on my pc !!!!!
i hav not used my airtel sim from the day i hav discovered this bsnl trick
as JUST cannot only surf free gprs
----BUT ALSO I CAN SEND ANY NO. OF MMS FREE OF COST(send almost >100mms till Now)

initially, as i had posted that sppeds r bit less than spartan's airtel gprs!!
but now i m geetin around same sppeeds and they r consistent too on my nokia 6600!!!
around 5-6 kBps !!!!
so just experimentin with that now a days!!
i m from J AND K!!!!
BUT what abount my new advice,
used apn=mms.e.po (and even mms.e.pr)
and
homepage=http://192.168.51.166/ (and also try "logical_proxy_url")
ip=192.168.51.163
port=8080
and tried 2 send mms or not!!!!!!!!!!!

look shivam u hav a post paid connection
on that activation is fast
(as all know that operators always hav always better services for post paid customers evry where)
on prepaid-- its like a dream come true!!
regardin form activation for mms and gprs--
this is a formal way as cc' exec's say for both prepaid and post paid!!!
BUT MAN I HAV GOT NOT ONLY PORTAL
BUT MMS AND GPRS ALSO ACTIVATED
JUST BY SENDING
PORTAL 2 3733(this activated portal)
AND
GPRS 2 3733(this activated mms and gprs) WI
WITHOUT ANY FORM OR SUCH!!!!!!!!
(yaa; this is also true that it took about 1-2mts for that
and all what i wriiten in activation part in my initial post)
