Well if the majority of the population spent only two months on a phone, why would there be 24 month contracts? Really, it isn't that hard to make a durable phone. Think of the 3310. Two pieces of plastic halves connected to form one shell, and up to know people are still useing them with no troubles. I reckon that even cheap Nokias (1110) are more durable then SE's top line.

My mom uses a 3310, it drops on the floor almost twice everyday and all it has a few scratches. I wonder what'll happen when i do the same to my W800..hehe

quantity is over quality now a days. brands save money mainly at the manufacturing, its business, so a petition is a nice idea, but no use. se will say maybe, thx for it and then ad acta...

I agree up to a point, but if others are building good quality phones so can SE I simply do not accept it is a lost cause, without the good will of your customers you do not have a market! I understand that SE do read this forum so making our feelings known can never be a waste of time I say lets have a vote!

@NitroFan: I don't know why you're getting your panties in a twist. Like I said the normal lifespan of a phone is 2 years- phone collectors like Boba and his Eriman team are the exceptions. They could probably make more durable phones with aluminium bodies but that will only push up the prices of phones and then again you will complain. Right now it seems they're just trying to create a balance between reliability and affordability.
Now now if you cannot argue your point well please do not resort to playground name calling

I am on the record as stating that I would be prepared to pay more for well constructed phone, so there will be no complaints from meat all.
I do not accept that SE are trying to hit a balance at all, they are trying to get away with cheap production methods at our expense, other manufacturers manage to produce high quality devices at good prices so why not SE? and that is fact not conjecture! I bought my GF a V3i and that is a well built unit and not that much more pricey that its competitors.

@Nitro_Fan: At the end of the day if you're unhappy about the production quality of your favourite SE phone the best thing you can do is to avoid buying their future releases. Current phones are exposed to a lot of abuse and to expect an immaculate handset aftre one year of "wear and tear" is a bit too much.

Nokia is a rather cheap looking and build quality phone, I think the only bad quality phone from

is the K750, but then you get a W810 which is just perfect in terms of a solid handset.
But if the phone lasts for 2 years and then just disintergrates afterwards, I can live with that!!

Had it been NOT, I doubt it if it is still in working condition - twice (fall) everyday

s . . . I haven't dropped my FONES . . . not even a TIME ! I'm a careful guy that's why !
