3) Has anyone upgraded from w800i to k800i? are there any other major things missing which you have found? is the k800i upgrade worth it?

I had a W800i before I got my K800i. There isnt really anything the W800i had that the K800i doesnt except the walkman part, good headphones and a memory card.
The mp3 player is very similar to the W800i player except the video player is seperate and it doesnt have mega bass.
I dont think you would regret the upgrade.

The K750i? Are you mad? The K800i is better! When you've returned to a room and you want to see if you've got any missed calls/texts, just press the volume up/down button, and you'll see an envelope or an arrow. Yeah, the light only stays on for about 5secs, but thats long enough. In a well lit room, you won't even have to press the button to activate the backlight, as the envelope/missed call icon will clearly be visiable... as is the clock. Anyway, the K750i isn't 3G.

Isn't there a thread already that is doing the exact same thing? Why create two?

3G isn't important to me.... but wait now I'm confused!! You say that the envelope/missed call icons are clearly visible on the phone? So it does show even when on standy by?!
The really annoying thing abou the w810i is that when I leave it for a minute or so the screen goes completely blank, I can't even tell if its on or not - I don't want to have to press a button on the phone to look if I've got a text or not! I know its a silly thing to judge a phone on, but its these little things that I'm interested in.

Yes you can see the clock, envelope and missed call icon in standby mode. You may have to activate it though in the settings (Sleep Mode Clock = On). You only really need to press the button to activate the backlight at night.

Just a simple query, wondering how do i get music playback through a bluetooth headset instead of the k800i's speaker?
Buy a BT Stereo headset. Stop wondering.

I've had my k800i since end of June on o2. No problems. Switched off this arvo and the sodding thing will not turn back on. White screen constantly and tried everything. I hadn't dropped it, put it near water or anything. I have a date tomorrow with a very hot girl and my number is on the damn phone. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. Anyone had this problem? I think the battery must just be rubber ducked after 3 crappy months.

1. Can you turn up the volume for the message alert? I like my 'Ding-Dong' to wake the whole building?
For volume use the side buttons and press it till all the little green circles are full up.
I real like this phone, but this must be the dumbest feature ever on a cellphone.
When I play music with "music player" and turn down the volume, it also turns down the volume of the message alert!!!!

Well I Took my phone to an O2 shop today and it wasn't the battery so its been sent off as they think its a software problem. Oh joy. I dont have my mobile for 1-2 weeks. And they didn't have a spare for me. I appreciate things go wrong with phones but not when you just turn the thing off and try to turn it back on. Seems like this phone has many bugs doesn't it. Also screwed my date up. Thankyou SE and o2!!!!
