Still tempted to hold out for TomTom 6 especially as the Software only prices don't look too bad. Just wish we could get an eta date of release.

I wonder based on this whether in fact the UIQ3 version is in fact available and on the release DVD - I had seen it reported over at My-Symbian that someone who had been to the Paris Motor Show said they were in fact selling the software there.

I guess the only way to prove it is from someone who has a copy of Navigator 6 to atempt to install it on an M600i or P990i.

Any volunteers?

Hi SL33PYH34D
Thanks for regenerating this thread on here.
TomTom are notoriously uncommunicative, but I think the real problem is the operating system. There is no doubt that the company has Navigator 6 working on SE phones, but they are probably not happy with the final product and want to keep it in Beta.
I am waiting for a 990 (in the meantime I am a happy 910 user) but am increasingly worried by tales of the fone struggling with memory resource and continual rebooting.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if those at TomTom base aren't having their machines frequently rebooting under the load of the software.
In fact, overall I am loathe to upgrade at the moment as it sounds like an inferior product to my trusty 910.

@Laurie...inferior it is not...neither however, is it perfect.
I'm HOPING that the memory resource thing will be rectified in future fw. But in the meantime, just gotta reboot every so often. PUWHAHAHAHA =)~
