After you edit it or do wathever you want to do with psd file, open it with Image Ready (you will find it in Photoshop installation folder if you don't have the shortcut) than check if it works fine, optimize it and than click file, save optimized as and save it as gif.

EDIT: You could make one startup screen with some guy, or creature poping out under the screen, and then painting the black background, so it finally becomes the default k800 screen, you could make several pics, with different backrounds..... Did you understand my proposition? I think that it could be interesting...

This is really interesting ... I just don't understand the method. I opened one up in Photoshop and its a layered file with visibility on on some layers and off on thers - do you load this into the k800i just as a 'picture' ? as a PSD ? and how does the phone know how to animate it ? .... very clever ! regards roger
