it's been 3 days, i've used the latest firmware but sad to say that there's no improvement from the previous F/W.. nothing new actually.. im dissapointed aswell

Don't worry, that just means you can put it back to R1BC002 and use all the insane patches available!!
Forget SE, you'll never see any firmware from them half as good as what you can do now with patches
like these for example:
*Use camera while java in background
*Use camera switch to turn on led when camera not in use
*Disable Java permissions (no java prompts on file system access)
*A Full flightmode profile (gsm radio ONLY disabled, everything else working)
*Faster scrolling of song names in media player
*Move JAVA folder to memory stick so games can be sent via bluetooth
*Change menu folder to memory stick so menu icons can be changed by user
*Move playlist folder to memory stick so playlists can be saved on computer
*Turn whitelist into black ie: instead of accept list, it becomes a reject list

Just killed a friend's K750i as SEUS suddenly went back to START button while "updating phone's software...don't touch the phone" stage was in the third bar...it just stopped and was back to the beginning...I have done 11 times updates via SEUS before and have never experienced problems...just this time....this was my worst failure by SEUS...a dead K750i...poor him...and me, for sure...crazy...

Guys, what about MP3 playback. I've obtained a copy of the acoustic files and it would seem SE have updated the sound drivers. I have taken one of these files (PHF_2_play.apf) and applied it my w800 and it resolves the Hissing. I'm still trying to see if it's as good as my Loud V2 driver. Initially, I think the new SE driver may be very small fraction softer. Perhaps SE have finally addressed the hissing this with this version???

yeah I see what you mean. this probably was a money making scheme. But the thing that ******* me off badly ; is that the w550 has got a much better firmware and it is based on the k750 hardware. imho the w800 was a better phone but they cant be bothered to port the firmware to the w800 or k750. that is the thing I hate most about
