I just did my Tarawih prayer 6 hours ago. It's time to sahoor to start my first day of fasting here in Malang, East Java, Indonesia. If you could listen, the children are out along the street now to wake people up with their noisy drums! It's our beautiful custom here!

We do? Where on earth did you get that idea? Seriousely it Ramadan. I was thinking Pakistani or something.

Today was the first day here in Egypt. Food is never a problem but thirst, aaaaaah, I broke my fast by drinking a whole bottle of water, that is at iftar not before, don't want anyone getting any wrong ideas

So far so good, hunger not an issue just thirst but it's fine.

Well maybe it's most of my friends then. My best friend is egyptian and he says Ramazan. I mean yes it's Ramadan, I meant pronounciation.

Maybe it's not all egyptians?
