um if I overthrew the U.S. now and toppled the U.S. Government would I be a patriot?
The things that Georgy and Co. have been doing don't differ that much of a dictator, they get away with everything they steal from and spy on the country, they change laws if they don't suit them, and they keep preaching that they are right and anyone who thinks otherwise is not patriotic and hell just label them terrorist. And first it was senior then junior, who is it next his brother or son, I thought the U.S. was a democrocy not a monarchy.
They are still putting Saddam on trial for executing 100 or so people who tried to overthrow the government more then 30 years ago (when the country was at war), yet no one puts Bush on trial for the 100+ a day (at least the reported ones the number is far higher) people that have died on a daily basis in Iraq since it was 'freed and democrisized' 3 years ago. According to the Geneva laws if a country invades/occupies another country it is directly responsible for the saftey, security and stability of that country.
wasn't Saddam an ALLIE of the U.S., who do you think funded him in the Iraq/Iran war, who do you think funded and helped Bin Ladin during the U.S. / USSR war, if you're young and ignorant at least take a history lesson to get your facts straight before posting that way you can defend your view more instead of just become another 'oh look TERRORIST TERRORIST'

Well...
Clinton talked about possible mesures to stop Saddam, GW applied them (i.e. WAR).
If you're talking about a missile or two targeted at industrial facilities, if GW did that it wouldn't shock me.
The point here is Terrorism and what was (not) done to stop it.
the point isnt terroirism the post refers to an interview carried out in the media. my post was merely to hight light that we often forget what people did and view them through rose tinted specs as what we have in place is currently bad.
i read a survey the other day saying maggie thatcher was one of britians greatest prime ministers of this century
i remember growin up under maggie and i cant remeber to many good words said about her towards the end.just shows you what short memories we all have
as for missle attacks without wanting to take it to far off topic i did want to point out it was more than one or two. there was 24 in 1993 alone. followed by many more in 1996. a couple of links to show you
