Yeah, your right, less data is sent and recieved. I've edited my k750 message menu, removed the built in email client and replaced it with the gmail application. This is absolutely great.

Can u tell how u did that? i'ld like to do the same with my m600i if possible.Cause i want to associate the app to the today menu like activesync does for instance

The app is working perfectly in m600i using vodafone portugal

I used FAR Manager to edit the menu.ml file. Look under the messages desktop item and link the java application in there. Try tinkering with it a bit. Hope you can get ig going.

eeiba U R GREAT!
Thanks a lot!
Exactly as you described.

Edit: Accessing my email with the gmail mobile, I downloaded 43KBytes and uploaded 2KB (45KB total).
Using opera mini and checking my gmail with it, I downloaded 2.2KB and uploaded 1KB (3.2KB total).
The difference is HUGE!!!
I will stay with opera mini, because KBs cost...
gmail java is 14 times more expensive! D)

This google mobile application does not allow for automatic notification possibilities.

Alerts for incoming email. Something my intermail email client on the my n93 does have (but which I am unable to use because I cant get the incoming email settings right)

with smartphones you just cant have it all

main reason why i didn't like it is because you can't put attachments

I have a problem with the gmail for mobile. I can login and see my inbox, but when I tried to read a messages or refresh the inbox it just logout and say that my "username and password do not match, you provided 0".
Anyone know what to do?
