Super G: Euh??? I was comparing to T68i... the UI is faster on 7210. Full point.
yeah. so was i. 7210 vs T68i. what did you think i was talking about?
7210 [Win 3.11] T68i [Win XP]. clear enough for you?
Super G: Show off. Buy a torch, it's much more practical.
or best, buy a Nokia 5100, it has an integrated torch.
hey, you're the one bringing up how *bright* your 7210's backlight is.
Super G: Colors. Simply.
if you'd read my post further up, [i've made quite a few more posts since the one you're bringing up] i've already pointed out that colours cannot be sharp. they can be vibrant, rich, etc, but not sharp. that refers to the resolution. surely they teach English in French schools?
Super G: Have you ever used it?????
Obviously you dunno what you're talking about mate. No need for a headset and you can freely move around, hear and be heard!
didn't i mention that i got my aunt's Nokia 7650 for a week or so above? i also spoke on the 7210 my friend bought. [no, he doesn't have it anymore] and how far can you move from the phone? it's not exactly the same as a Bluetooth headset, is it? sure, it comes as standard on the phone, but i think i can see why.
Super G: Yes, the Pop-port is a USB port.
Don't underestimate the power of the popport
well, if you'd like to be so adamant about the Pop-Port being USB, i'd like to see you connect your 7210 to a USB-enabled device. printer/scanner/whatever.
Super G: Oh, damn! Why do we even have ringing tones on our mobiles... C'mon.
I don't want music, I want a nice ringing tone that's it.
seriously? i have no idea. i use the standard 'ring-ring'.
Super G: What the hell are you saying? Non-sense!
YOu can send emails, pictures, or whatever! Twice as fast!!!!!
80kBytes of sound or image is still 80kBytes...
excuse me? i'd like to see you try to send me an sound attachment or a GIF animation. heck, i'd like to see you *recieve* a GIF animation.
Super G: Well, car kits exist! Next...
ah! car kits! how do you dial a number on your phone while it's in there?
a) bend forward, tap around on your Nokia, *then* divert your full attention to the road.
b) say your magic word, then the name, [and if need be the type of number] eyes on the road all the time.
and a Bluetooth Headset has one tiny little advantage over a car kit - you can use it out of your car.
Super G: Of course it is. But you're obviously not used to Nokia's UI fast and easy! f I want to call my girlfriend or whoever I have in my phonebook, it takes no more than 2 seconds to get the call started (without using key shortcuts!)!
And voice dial is limited to much less people than the phonebook allows...
how much different is doing the same thing on my T68mi?
and voice dialling is meant for convinience. if you call more than 50 different people daily, you don't need a mobile phone - you need a personal secretary.
Super G: 'f course not. You don't even seem to use the features of your phone! And luckily it didn't crash while you were using to lit up your way in your black kitchen at midnite
you have a point there... what features do i actually use? hmm...
GPRS for wap surfing [yes, i use it almost daily]
IrDA between my Palm and my Ericsson
Sound Recorder for when i don't have my Palm
Bluetooth between my PC and my Ericsson for sync-ing
i also MMS frequently because my network operator is giving out free MMS usage now...
hmm... hmm... hmm... what else is there? i can't remember. feel free to point out any features i don't use, especially when you're by my side all the time. [how else would you know that i don't 'seem' to use the features on my phone?]

Stop being petty-minded...
I'd like to see you talking/writing French.

although i'd like to be able to proudly claim that i have never required a flash on my phone's firmware, unfortunately that is no longer so. if only i didn't want to upgrade my T68m to a T68i. darn.

Ooooh really?!
Could you please tell us how on Earth you send a MMS with a T68m when you haven't ever flashed it!?!?!
I think you should rather stop posting your messages...
Unless you actually have something relevant to say!

@Super G
here's what i wrote:
oh, and, no, i didn't feel sad when the T68i came out, *cause i easily obtained a software upgrade to it*for S$12 [plus a CD and user guide]. and if i need the [rather superfical] outer casing to reflect the upgrade, i can have it changed for roughly S$50. S$62 for a brand-new phone. not bad, eh?
although i'd like to be able to proudly claim that i have never required a flash on my phone's firmware, unfortunately *that is no longer so*. if only i didn't want to upgrade my T68m to a T68i. darn.
note the words between the asterisks. i have also refered to my phone as a T68mi perviously.
once again, i re-iterate that you have a severe lack in understanding of the English Language. here's a clearer picture:
I H-A-V-E F-L-A-S-H-E-D M-Y P-H-O-N-E.
i really can't help you if you *want* to look stupid online.
and while i cannot speak/write French, i can speak/write Chinese. and that's because there's no such language as Singaporean.
now, i'm really sorry if i've crossed the 'personal attacks' line for some of you. i try to keep my online rants as non-personal as possible, [which is why i haven't been very active here before] but i think we're about a mile past that line now.

so we'd be correct in saying that you don't mention names in your telephone conversations? besides, unless you are some celebrity, i doubt anyone would be paying enough attention to you to note that you're voice dialing.....

Sorry, I have other things to do than reading your answers to other posters... So you did upgrade your phone. I acknowledge that. Then be consistent with your own words...

what you've said makes a whole lot of sense, now if only if were true. re-read my post. half of it was directed at you.
--- although i'd like to be able to proudly claim that i have never required a flash on my phone's firmware, unfortunately that is no longer so. if only i didn't want to upgrade my T68m to a T68i. darn. ---
that was written in my reply to you, many posts ago.
and i'm supposed to be consistent with my words?! when did i say that my phone's *never* needed a re-flash?
Super G: A fat lot of good! Really impressive
and your 'parlez-vous francias' is something the whole world should be proud of? i can't see what learning French has done for you. certainly hasn't made you any more knowledgable.
Super G: Please, don't be sorry if you don't mean it!
see here, this is getting ridiculous. when i reply directly to you, you pay no attention, but when i'm speaking to everyone else, you butt in and make noise. why don't you go and do your 'other things'?

C'mon guys, this discussion is getting way too personal IMO.... Can't we try to keep these discussions on a somewhat intelligent/civilized level? This is just getting way out of hand, and not to mention TOPIC!

@Raven
I agree with you. This discussion has crossed the line. I think it's ok to discuss phones, and I like discussions. But when they turn into personal wars, it's not intresting anymore at least not for me.
