it's pretty slow in al honesty, might be something to do with the fact that im uploading and downloading some rather sizable things!

And here comes the opposition complaining in Australia about our 'slow' broadband in comparison to the rest of the world, and planning to spend $5 bill of a future fund to fund it.
But my upload speed is terrible

Line. ADSL means that you're downloads woud be faster than your uploads.
SDSL (less common, way too pricey) means
