prepaid cannot use GPRS...at least for now...
that's what i'm sure of... coz i asked GLOBE that already the day i bought my T68...
i had them activate my WAP, but they said they can tactivate my GPRS coz it's only for line subscription...

racoonice,
pre-paid subscription = no gsm data, no gprs. your option is to go postpaid.

btw how does ericsson service warranty work? do you have to show them a receipt? I got mine on 2nd hand, and I don't have a receipt for it.. in the eventuality that I would want to replace my front casing, or anything else what do I have to do?

in my opinion, postpaid and prepaid subscription should entail the same features....
that is so unfair...
it's only a matter of HOW TO PAY IT...
so the services should be the same...
got my point.

Hey fellows! I got my phone in HK for HK$3000 or around P19500 (R1B parin tho). Big discount compared to prices here in the Philippines. I've been a nokia junkie ever since going through the 5110, 6150, 3210, 3310, and 7110. But when I was ready for the big time, the t68 was it. GPRS, bluetooth, tri-band access, 256 color screen, joystick, etc all make it a phone worth jumping off the nokia bandwagon.
Bago palang mag pasko inaabangan ko na yung t68 ko kaya talagang halos gabi-gabi nasa net ako naghahanap. Bago pa dumating kumpleto na ako sa mypictures, xtnd connect, backgrounds, ringtones, at lahat.

I've had the phone for around 3 weeks and I'm satisfied with it I guess. I find it a bit slow especially for us citizens of the text capital of the world! but i haven't really had any real problems with it but here are a few. please tell me what you think.
1. my phone has shut itself off about twice already.
2. my operator logo suddenly becomes "invalid mobile." has happened twice already.
3. I have instances when the phone reports that I "have signal" but people can't seem to contact me such that i get around 10 messages one after another when I turn it off and on.
4. the phone sometimes doesn't respond to a yes or a joystick press to proceed. takes 2 to 3 presses or a reload of the message before it responds.
5. battery reporting is TERRIBLE! at least on R1B. I have to turn it off and on to get it to show a correct reading.
yan lang naman yung mga bugs na naencounter ko na. yung mga functionality issues, like not being able to save phone numbers from messages, bad ringtones, etc are things we have to live with I suppose. And naayawan ko lang talaga is the fact that even though the phone can save 510 numbers, an entry with 2 numbers in it counts as 2 and not as 1 unlike in my old 7110.
About the ringtones, if you have a Palm, I found a program which has around 5000 songs in it and can send them through IR to the phone. Its called EricSong and I think I got it from palmgear. There are also ringtone converters that can convert from nokia, samsung, doremi, etc to ericsson and can convert ericsson notation into keypress format. Its a heck of a lot easier that way.

Thanks!
