Just a point of view 2 those of U who feel that SE have put far 2 much into a relatively small unit (4 what it can do), & firstly I’d like 2 say that I’m not some SE junky, as I’ve been on what some of U would call t/ dark side since the release of t/ 9110 (& found being on t/ web even back then of grt benefit). I’m a mere 19, I work in an IT company & I’ve got 2 work computers, 2 home, 1 laptop, a pda and my feeble excuse 4 a mobile phone, the Nokia 3510 (I was mugged & needed a quick fix).
So does anyone remember having mobiles back in the day?? I bet you didn’t complain about the size & weight then? The 9110 was fine for everyday use, in the pocket stuff, also I could have a lot of my work stuff (I part ran a small software development company) on me at anytime, I currently dive between pda and mobile, which together take up a fair bit of space, even if my laptop is by my side, I don’t want the hassle just to knock up a quick spreadsheet and email it to a client, I’m pretty much working 24/7 if I’m in a club and suddenly have a brainwave about a domain name or new project/product I need to get that information to ppl that moment time is money for a lot of people, I don’t mind ppl talking about who would and wouldn’t use it, if they’re in that situation, do you really think SE do no market research on these things?? Or that you (a lot of whom have nothing to do with the industry or target market) know better?? Get a grip people, if the 9110/9210 can succeed why cant the p800??!

What about this today????
Ever heard of the word 'sarcasm'?

I am not really a retailer, I was just making fun of people who believe everything they read in these forums.

Hey Faca, I travel up & down the country to do antique dealing in open air events, i need all my stock & pricing info on me,i need to take photo`s & email them to customers, i need a good calender , a good calculator,a phone, access to my email acounts, i need to easily sync all this info when back home,i need all this in a small package so a phone like the p800 would pay for itself in no time,BUT it also makes you look profesional to the customer & a tasty gadget can interest a customer to hang around longer.................oh f**k it .......you got me......i just want it cos it`s a cool toy......sorry...i`ve let everyone down......

Faca: You are not expressing your opinions. You are trying to predict what people will do with their phones and reason out why they don't need such technology. In my opinion, you would have been an idiot in Alexander Graham Bell's era who reasoned: 'hey, who needs telephones anyway? If I needed to talk to Mr. Bollocks, I would walk the 5 blocks down to talk to him. With a phone, you'd never know if it was really him!'
Some people go onto the forums to share useful information. Some people browse the forums to get useful information. Other people get onto the forums for no bigger purpose than to write rubbish and stir sh*t. Useless sh*tstirrer, get a life.

@ faca
do you know in what part of your "ideas" are wrong??? I know: you are judging P800 as it was ONLY a phone. But you cannot forget it is, really!!, a pda too.. as you see this is not a phone. This is supposed (I say supposed because I don't know all it can do) to replace the pda+phone combo that many people carry. ok! you are right in a few points:
1. a lot of people will buy it to show off
2. you can never take just the phone to the movies
3. ... i don't see any other points
People must search the best device for them.
And just fyi I'm not buying P800 because I don't really need more features than a regular top phone.
I just hope that now you will stop saying things like: "why would you want this feature in a phone?" because next you'll start asking why people buy pda's!!! sure... why not go home or office to do the work! dont buy pda's its a waste of money!! lol

Yes, @Faca, i too believe that you can't really be serious in the statements you've made in this thread. I've enjoyed several of your posts in the past, as i've found them to be informative and insightfull, and they've usually brought a healthy balance to all those \"pro se - anti everything else\" discussions, imo. And reading your other posts have led me to think that you're just as much a \"tech-head\" as the rest of us, so the statements you've made in this thread makes no sense what so ever to me....
