If you (have used) a K750 then got yourself a K800, you will NOT totally be amazed . . . but if you jump from a K750 to a 5 Mp camfone . . . then that's another story !

There are some aspect in which they are poorer than the N80, but overall they are of very similar quality, so there is no interpolation going on I am sure of that.

SE responded to me and assured me that the phone has a 3mp sensor. So, it must come down to jpg compressoion. They sort misunderstood what I meant by jaggered edges thinking I was referring the view on the screen - Perhaps the initial view before is loads fully. I've responded to them and hope I 've cleared up my point. It would be really nice to have the photo quality improved in the next F/W.
With that said, I have spent a lot of time looking at reviews and comparisons. It would seem I would probably be disappointed no matter which camera phone I bought. If it's not jagged edges it's over saturation of colour, blotchiness, sparkles and other artifects.

Anyway, the photos I've taken with my K800i are very good indeed. Much better than the ones taken with my W810i. Although I think the K800i is much more prone to camera shake than the W810i...
All in all, the K800i is a great phone
I have no complaints with the camera quality. Nor do I get jagged edges hehe!
An as aremaboy said: in reality, the K800i is still just a phone. But a big plus is it has an excellent camera

yes, as soon as customisation is available for K800 cid51 on DCU-60, I'll be there. The first thing I will do is mod the jpeg compression as low as possible without crashing the camera. I want as little of that stuff going on as possible.
Now that I have the K800, looking at the issue more closely I can see that what mongoose is talking about is definitely true (though not as bad as other camera phones). The problem is due to over compression. Like K750 this should be fixable with access to the driver.

Never really rated the K800I as a decent phone or camera, not really much of an upgrade from a K750I, its just people suffer from badge snobbery & try to show off with there 3.2 mega pixel's
Until SE make a decent successor to the K750I I own im sticking with it.
