Oh, I am so so so tempted to get the P990 now after all that feedback. Coupled with the fact that it is going for about US$400 now....

when P1i officially launching (maybe a couple of weeks) P990i price will sure drop by alot again, by tht time M600i user may step into a dilemma to get P1 or P990.

I'd love to see two shots of the same object ( kind of book with small text ) made by P990 and P1 respectively, with selftimer on to prevent hands trembling. Then I could compare. Of course you can be right, but take in consideration that similar assumption about P990 vs P910i does not work well, though both made by same manufacturer and in theory P990 is far ahead in hardware.
So I'd prefer to wait for test shots, then I can judge.
