You can simply ammend the existing Mobileweb profile, by deleting the specified DNS address*. It is important to make sure that in 'Internet Settings_Internet Profiles' that the Mobileweb profile is specified and that in 'Mobile Networks' the O2 gsm3g network is selected. Not the gsm only network.
After some experimentation these are the settings I am now using. I deleted all 'Data Communication_Data Account' profiles and their associations in 'Internet Settings'. And added the following details manually:
Profilename: O2 Mobileweb
APN = mobile.o2.co.uk
Username = o2web
Password = ******** ("password" I assume)
Login Request = Off
Allow Calls = Automatic
IP Address = ...
DNS Address = ...
Authentication = PAP
Data Compression = Off
Header Compression = Off
_________________________________
Profilename: O2 WAP GPRS
APN = wap.o2.co.uk
Username = o2wap
Password = ******** ("password" I assume)
Login Request = Off
Allow Calls = Automatic
IP Address = ...
DNS Address = ...
Authentication = PAP
Data Compression = Off
Header Compression = Off

You could also add an old style GSM data account, but I havent bothered.
It seems to me that it was the specified DNS server causing the problem.
It's pretty shocking O2 haven't pulled their finger out to get these settings sorted on the K810i, especially as they're advertising the blog feature. Useless gits!
*For some reason the asterisked password mask is 5 characters in the default profile, but you can change this to 'password'. This works fine, but the the mask is 8 characters. Not sure what this means and it doesn't appear to obfuscate password length.

Can you post the O2 WAP GSM settings to get this working.
I too have a K810i on O2 which doesn't work (Same DNS problem and no token).
I've flagged this with O2 and SE.
O2 said I needed to upgrade to a GPRS tariff which I don't want to do as I'm on one of the old Genie accounts free WAP access and Unlimited texts for £20 a month. If I upgrade I lose this.
SE have emailed me today suggesting I upgrade my firmware, which I've done (R6BC002) but I still cannot Blog pictures (DNS error).

Hi Brayjd, from my limited mucking about with these phone settings it seems to be all about the APN. The name of the connection is simply that, you can call the profile anything, but the APN and other settings need to be right. If you need to use the 'wap network' these settings should be fine.
Profilename: ***CALL THIS WHATEVER***
APN = wap.o2.co.uk
Username = o2wap

I'll post the GSM stuff tomorrow (don't have them here). But that connection is something like 9.6k, which would be painful for blogging.
O2 don't seems to know whats going on with this feature, I've been in touch with the complaints division, who also say it's not supported. If this is the case they should stop advertising the blog capability.

These are the settings I currently use and they don't work.
Get the message 'Sorry - the requested server does not have a DNS entry'.
I have however found a way around the problem by sending emails with picture attachments to my blogger email address (eg.
xxxx.blog@blogger.com) and this works.

Once these settings are installed, the user must make at least ONE
BlogThis! submission, the blog location information will then be sent
by SonyEricsson/Blogger.
The user can then use any connection, GPRS or GSM, to post their blog entries.
