That Bournemouth photo looks horrible! The clouds and sky point to it being nice weather yet the photo looks dark. It also looks blurry and the colours look dull. Was this just a bad photo or is the phone to blame?

Afraid to say the P1i has a completely rubbish camera. I have had mine for 2 days now and most unimpressed with the camera on it.
They could have used the same lens as the K800i... but they haven't. My old 2mp K750i took much clearer pictures alongside my old K800i.
The P1i is just not a great camera phone at all, which is the one and only downside to it.

But the P1 is not a dedicated camera-phone, you should remember that.

If they've stuck on an auto-focus 3MP camera though, it may as well have been the one from the K800. I mean, why not? I find the P1i camera to be excellent for macro photography but distinctly average for anything else, which is a shame.

Yes but still using a 3.2mp camera... why the hell didn't they use a quality lens? makes no sense.
It's the lens that is a sham on it.

I think this has a NOT-so-GOOD cam on it . . . considering those OUTDOOR-shots, I was expecting some sharper ones . . . the only NICE I've seen on this page is that of the RED tomato-shot !

@jojo..
yes, the 3.2mpx is not really that good. a firmware update may correct it, (wishful thinking...) but for everyday point and shoot, P1i is "okay" for me.
