At the end of the day there are only so many ways you can design a phone, and even less in which you can design a candy bar phone so i think its inevitable that each company will have parts that look the same.

he he....what a reaction. i like this.
ok......you guys who cant agree that Nokia have made some serious plagiarism here. raise your hand !!!!!
buttons, design, camera buttons, the square chassis design, keypad, etc.........
Nokia have theire kind of design, samsung have their kind of the design, SE have their kind of the design. BUT stick with it also.(dont change, beacuse some brand sell more phones (or whatever)
get a life Nokia !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually like the design. You can tell its heavy influenced by SE. It looks like nothing else in Nokia's range anyway.
Another thing that I noticed is the position of the call and end buttons stangely similiar to the position of the buttons on the W810i and other SE phones; you can just tell this is designed to compete head on with SE - playing them at their own game.
I swear if there is ever going to be a phone that would pull me over to the dark side this would be it.
EDIT: After looking at the black N81, it would seem Nokia has Samsung in its crosshairs too.

I haven't read the all of the thread but it seems rather stupid to compalin about phone manufacturer copying each other.
There is only a finite number of shapes which could fit a phone (ie candybar, clamshell, slider, ...), there is a finite number of materials to be used (plastics, chrome, steel, wood, ...) and a finite number of colors (an "electric banana green" is still green). Therefore, there is only a finite number of distinctive designs you can come up with, specially when you pop out a new handset once per month.
It's like Apple fanboys calling for plagiarism each time a rectangular handset sporting a touchscreen is announced.
Granted, once in a while you see some really striking similarities but don't fall in a crazy paranoia.
That being said, you can continue your plagiarism spotting

SE copied K810 keypad from mobiada(or something like that). What do you have to say about that?
@golden
even if this N series is a dual front, wouldnt all candybar phones with camera be dual front then? where else would you put a camera?

every manufacturer should have its own identity and individuality and so does NOKIA has.. With the advent of the n82, the company will get mixed response. I am not flattering nokia but thats true! Look into other models. Talking abt looks, each one is a step ahead of other with large displays that

lacks. the only exception being n82..
BUT MOVING ONTO OTHER ARENA, our beloved

is the best. Each model has its own pros and cons and i feel its 200% better than any of the nokias.

Dual front
A cameraphone with one side clearly designed to look like a camera..
A cameraphone with one side that is not - in other words a phone with a camera aperture on the back of it.
