As carkitter stated above, there are some RDS stations in NZ. Probably more where he lives, in our biggest city. There is just one national station which I know of that has it, its called ZM.
On ZM it has station and song information 24/7. It is always working as far as I have seen. Sorry I can't post a picture as I no longer have a phone with radio

Apart from Visual Radio service, Now Radio Mirch has started giving RDS data. In this service Texts containg various kind of information appears on screen. This service is free. To enable it , activate RDS option in your car audio system OR if you have Sony Ericsson handset then go to RDS option in Radio menu and Select SHOW STATION INFO. Initially RDS text is taking a lot of time to come on screen. Yesterday i was at Mumbai domestic Airport. Though RDS availability was identified by phone but still only at one particular place, the text appeared. I tracked it from Wadala connecting station to Vile Parle and it had same problem. Big 92.7fm also send RDS texts but they appear as soon as phone discovers it.

In Brisbane, Australia, 105.3 comes up as B105 FM, 104.5 as Triple M, 97.3 as 97.3 FM, 106.9 as NOVA1069
They were the only RDS statons I could find.

was trying out the radio in San Francisco there are a bit of RDS stations.
what i also notice is that some of them are actually showing the name of the song thats playing, as well as the station ID or DJ hosting etc.
