The Z8 font looks great! And the Swedish special characters appear as they should.

So far I've noticed some characters are missing (like the on screen keyboard where the graphic for the shift and return keys are missing).

Clearly the Z8 and Z10 doesn't need an on-screen keyboard without the touch screen, although I bet future models will need the symbols!!

I've used both the original posted link Z8 fonts and the link for fonty set from earlier this thread... both sets definitely do NOT have the virtual keyboard chars (backspace, shift and return chars) - instead they just appear as big black circles.

Can we add these into the Z8 font set? Anyone know?

It's possible with a font editor (it's just a matter of copy-paste), but first you have to retrieve the original SE fonts from the ROM. Any idea how?

To get the original se fonts, you can use swiss manager or x-plore (not the default file manager). It is stored in z:/resource/fonts. Fyi the moto fonts also don't have arabic support (it have less than half glyph than the original ones) and also have smaller size

If so, this is what we need to do:
1. Retieve the original SE fonts (please post link here)
2. Get a nice font editor and copy paste all the Z8 "good" characters, and replace the corresponding SE characters.

In the end, we have the best of both worlds: The Z8 fonts with the extra SE characters.

That would be cool.

With the new font, I think the W960i (or indeed any other SE UIQ device) suddenly looks and feels more professional. Isn't it amazing how something so trivial can make such a difference?

Don't say it doesn't either, as we all like to theme our handsets. I've seen people say they don't like a phone because of the colour scheme or icons, even though you can change them!

Think I've got it sorted now! ...Got the P1i fonts using X-plore, then downloaded "Font Creator/Editor" software, then using the software I managed to "merge" the Z8 fonts over the P1i fonts (using copy all/paste special). Been using my new "hybrid" font set for couple of hours now and all seems ok (vitual keyboard has everything ok, etc.). Cool!

Great! Would you be so kind to share your custom made font-set with us? Thank you very much.
