Hey people, sorry for bumping such an old thread, I just want to inform anyone who had the same problem that removing the glass is
easy and safe, pictures are indeed
sharper and better detailed, and if you are careful with your phone, you should not have any problem with the plastic lens cover, it is hard enough.
I removed it yesterday and it is just fine.
Oh, and it can be put back in really easily, even without opening the case again.
