aslong he doesnt test it on its own, its for no use to talk about it imo... for example the keypad of u7... well, if u got used to a "normal" keypad and u like to feel when u push a key, then forget it... it reminds me on the razr solution btw

The touch button element of the U series does take some getting used to, but as we see with the K850i, that appears to be the current trend.

Well I agree with: mweb, when it comes to gettin USED to the fone's KEYPAD . . . as I had a V3 back then . . . and there are really times that it's annoying composing an SMS on it I like the keypad on the P990's - FLIP . . . it's EMBOSED !

Ok, my personal opinion, reiterating PERSONAL, is that if you use a phone for calls, txt messaging and a bit of web browsing (HSPDA is very quick), the U700 would be my weapon of choosing, BUT if you need to have blackberry, comprehensive business features, and possibly sat nav then the P990 would be it.

In my case, I use (well used to use) the P990 for work and used a slimmer lighter phone like the U700 at evening and weekends.

BTW, for you information, the picture you have posted in the first post shows both the U700 and the U600. The phone on the right is the U600, and the one on the left the U700. Just incase you are getting yourself confused. The U700 has 3G support, where the U600 does not.

U700 also comes in black, as well as chrome/silver:

Doesn't look so girly now, does it??

And I'll say, even though I need a smartphone for my everyday device...having just had U700, it's a worthy flagship to the Ultra-2 range! And the D-pad/Jog wheel is very well realised, as are the touch-keys(make K850 look prehistoric)! Oh plus of course, the D-Pad centre button actually opens the menu, instead of the browser(darn Samsungs )......

Out of E900, U600, U700, G600 in the last 2 weeks...only U700 seems special(3G Samsungs are rare enough on a good day)......

@float - OK, so . . . it's STILL neutral for you matey Either

@aware - Yup, I do AGREE that Samsung releases very LIMITED 3G fone-models at present . . . If someone at my END wanted to swap their Samsung with TV-feature on it, then I'll give it a GO - asap, no second thoughts !

IMO Samsung designs are beating the hell out of SE/Nokias. I still have my reservations because of the UI and of course, my loyalty but I could really lean towards a Samsung if they have anything similar to a P990-Open platform, monster screen, Great camera, Touchscreen, Wifi, Turbo 3G, multi text input options (multitap, qwerty, tc, virtual keyboard), one-handed navigation. A bonus if it has HSUPA and camera better than P990

The Samsung U700 has a 3.2 MP camera . . . much better than the P990's - 2 MP I guess
