@5nak3

Now while i agree an N82 is probably better you must also consider price. If the review is to be belied and the price difference is about 100-150 USD that is a fair bit of money.

Are you forgetting that other than N82 there are still 6220 Classic, N78 and N81 8G which are selling at around the price of G900/700. And all these phones have specs that exceed or match the SE's.

In fact yes i was forgetting those devices because i have very little idea about what phones are available and at what price (not been looking for a new one so the information is not relevant to me) but then again it must not be forgotten that specs analysed by the average joe and specs analysed by a techie are completely different.

I am not trying to defend the G series, but i'm just trying to point out that the move in theory is good for SE and while it may not be the best mobile out there it has a number of features which are tailored to an average rather than power consumer. WHile at the same time having the UIQ base allowing more advanced users to use more advanced features.

On a slightly unrelated note while i agree Nokia phones are generally better speced if i was to look at a phone in the coming months Nokia's offerings would most likely tempt me more than SE on a sheer power/spec basis. But at the same time i've made it very clear that my wants are a QWERTY keyboard, pocketable size, and MS office capabilities.
The other features (camera, music etc) are extras which are welcomed mind you but i will sacrifice some of them to have the above 3 necessities.

The only problem is ignoring WM devices are there any Nokia's that offer the 3 necessary factors which i look for? I think maybe the E61 and the other E model with the flip out keyboad might come close, other than that i cant really think of a Nokia that offers those functions.

mib1800, iīd like to see ALL those phones you mention for 300-350 euros...i surely canīt find them here...

still, the g series feature set is unmatched for any of those phones: small, compact smartphones WITH touchscreen....you might not like it, but its how they are marketed

No matter what SE haters and doubters say, SE have 2 great products in hands, and this is confirmed by everyone that has been fortunate to test those phones

Having used G700 and G900, I can definitely confirm this too...

End of the story...

The red G900 is really tempting for me also... I just hope the final version G900 will have a better camera...

SE still has the leverage of touch screen. I might even be persuaded to consider something like X1 but if it shows up with Symbian instead of WM.

regarding the camera..... do not take the M-R samples too seriuosly..
their unit had a thick layer of grease on the lens (or a defective sensor)

that's tooo obvious!!!
you can check here: (not much... only 2 full-size samples)
