Exactly. If the screen res in the bigger screen phones were say VGA then that would make a difference but as the previous poster says it just makes the phone bigger. If your watching videos then thats obviously different but for general stuff it doesnt make a difference.

I've used everything from 1.8 inches to 3.5 inches, and 2.2 is the optimal if you want both sharpness and size. What do you say now, QVGA?

Thats almost what i said, 2.4''. And there's a noticable difference in 2.2 and 2.0

You do realise that there's a larger difference between 2.2 inches and 2.4 inches, than 2.0 inches and 2.2 inches, right? Let me remind you that you said that 2.2 inches is "nearly" 2.4 inches.

have never understand the point with super big screens ?

as long i dont use my phone for TV & Movies, i much rather have a smaller cell phone (with a little smaller screen, like 2.0" or 2.2") who fits my pocket nicer then a big, clumsy phone.

Thats the biggest contradiction I have heard! You have said so many times you love the w960. What size screen is that? 2.6 inch. I guess thats just a clumsy brick aswell..

Did he say specifically that he liked the W960 due to its larger screen?

You're intentionally trying to find faults in what i'm saying and running away from the point.
Let me remind you what the point was. 2.0 inch screen is too small, whether anyone here likes that or not. Majority is not automatically right. 2.2'' is not the perfect balance, thats your assumption and your opinion. Most phones coming these days are 2.4'' or more.

Most Samsungs and Motos are 2.2 I think.

If you take a look at their imaging flagships you'll see that Samsung F480 has a 2.8'' screen, G810 and G800 both have 2.4 inch screen.
Moto's imaging flagship, ZN, has a 2.4'' screen.
Nokia's imaging flagship, N95 and N81 have 2.8 and 2.4'' respectively.

@QVGA and others,

A 2" inch screen is fine if the phone is small and compact, like K750 (only had a 1.8" screen though), etc.

But depending on the phone's size, the screen size should be in the right proportion... Looking at C902 size, the maximum it could have had was 2.2" but due the shortcut buttons, they could only put in a 2" screen... That's the main reason many here doesn't like the phone, including me...

2.4" may be a standard these days but no 2.4" screen phone can come in a compact size, it can be slim but some people prefer compact phone even if it's a high end or has a 5MP camera... For them 2" is just fine...

Those who don't like the screen size of C902 just may not buy it... And if their no. is good, C902 might not sell, and then maybe SE may not try to repeat the same mistake in their High-Ends... There is a saying, "You don't learn till you fall"... Lets hope for the best...
