@ Dogmann

Thats a nice phone ! Only thing putting me off is the small screen.

Is the video capture VGA 22fps like Nokia says or QVGA 15fps like all about symbian says?

Hi Prom1

Yes those pictures are taken with the E90 and to be honest the results i have got from it have always been good. I even took a picture of Otis in the dark with no image on the screen yet when i took it the flash took a more than decent picture.

@all

As far as i am aware there is no BB client for the E71 well not yet anyway and no one seems sure if there will be one or not. I can't test it with the E90's version as i don't have it activated on my account.

I am now posting my initial impressions review on the E71 after the first 24 hours and will answer any questions i can although i haven't used all it's functions yet. I just wanted to give my first impressions.

Marc

Still not seen this available on contract on UK networks.

Rang vodafone yesterday who cited software issues for the delay and its release has been moved back to the end of August sigh

Anyone have any news on the other networks?

Im guessing Vodafones software issues are down to them butchering the firmware with their own branding though I may be wrong.

Hi all,

Just seen in my CNET Newsletter that the E71 is coming to 3 in the UK within the month. Which with their great data charges and cheap contracts could be something of bargain for some users. The Full story can be found here

Guys,

Released in Malaysia last week. A fair bit of users using now including myself. Short update, like it thin and can do most things my Tytn II did so I did not miss that heavy bugger. Wanted to get the Diamond in the first place to replace my Tytn II but the E71 captures my eyes with its form as well as features. GPS is good and I would say better than my old N95 8gb. Small landscape screen does not bother me as I use this phone for work not fun, for that I have the iphone 1st gen 16gb. Gmail setup is a breeze.

Yeah E71 is now showing in both colours on 3's website.

Seem's they are the first to offer it on contract in the UK sadly they are also a bugger at unlocking their handsets.

02 and voda and orange are dragging their feet on this one and tmobile are last nowadays with all handests if they take it on at all.

I may have to bite the bullet and go sim free.

Has anyone used the white one it looks good in the pics but am afraid it may look tacky like the white 6300 did in the flesh...

I finally got one of these beauty's!

has REALLy gotta step up their Q&A and smartphone division because Nokia really shows on the E66 & E71 that they REALLY know what they're doing. The long name of "blokia" no longer stands.
