Sorry but you are wrong the latest is WinPwn 2.0.0.4 which is dated 9th August on their site and it quite clearly states.

While we wait for WinPwn 2.5 (with completely redesigned GUI interface), 2.0.0.4 has been released — allowing users to jailbreak (1st gen and 3G) and unlock (1st gen) the new 2.0.1 iPhone firmware.

So if you know different please link to it otherwise you are just quite clearly wrong.

Not that Marc needs my defence - but that article doesn't exactly give any details away as to how the unlock was enabled; nor confirm that WinPwn or Pwnage was used during the process. (Pwnage was an assumption on Engadget's part in the article).

The fact that it isn't even available to people now is another reason why it should be discounted at the current time.

@F1, I wasn't going to get a UK contract, and if I did, I'd get it through my mobile store and I'd get 70% off.

However I don't want to be tied to another contract and it'd still equal around 500 pounds for me if I did that.

@F1

That's a joke right it is not proof at all, if you read the comments below it you would of realised that. Check the website and they tell you that they can't unlock a 3G iPhone yet and if anyone would know it's them.

Please show us all anywhere you are able to get your locked 3G iPhone unlocked? or just accept that you are wrong and talking rubbish. Currently the only way to get an unlocked 3G iPhone is to buy one that comes that way from the factory as Paul is selling here that's it there is no other way just yet.

and apologies for taking your for sale of track but misinformation is bad for all.
