Do you think the selling price of W960 (600 US $) makes it a worthy buy? The N85, N82 are will sell for a similar price.
And what 'new' thing does C905 bring to the table? We already have boat loads of 8MP camera phones. They could have added Divx video playback, VGA video recording, bigger screen and sleeker design but i can only wonder why they left that out when the competition has multiple devices with such features.
And please max, why call W910 a great phone? What does it have that makes it great? If W910 is great, then W890 must be the holy grail

Again you are thinking only in terms of specs on paper. This is not the only way to decide if a phone is great or not. You are also mixing up your terms. "New" ie: innovative is also not necessarily a requirement for calling a phone great.
The W910 is great because of the improvements that come from A200 which make a huge improvement over the SE UI without taking away the advantages that the UI has over other brands, because of the accelerometer (DON'T say it's not the first, I know that, that doesn't mean it's not a good thing), the large screen, the slide ergonomics, the styling, the media player features (I use shake for random quite a lot - but imho the shake to change track thing is unusable), the small and light size of the thing, the audio quality (again I'm not saying it's the best - but it's still good in my view).
But the main thing that makes the W910 great is not any one of these things, but the overall package and how it brings those features together.
Another example is my Samsung i780. On paper it's not as good as the Ultimate 9502 (the other WM phone I was considering), but "ultimately" the samsung is much nicer to use and much smaller to carry around, and is still a capable performer. Overall I find it a much better phone than the 9502. In other words it is a "great" phone

Why? The W890 doesn't have an accelerometer and has a smaller screen. The only thing it really has over the W910i is the 3.2MP camera which is pretty much just as average as the W910i's 2MP unit.
Werent you the one who barely noticed half an inch less in screen diagonal on your C902?

i fail to see how three quarters of this thread has anything to do with the original topic..... but any way.
@deaf
personally i find samsung speakers to be very low. not good for you

a lot of their models incorperate the loud speaker into the earpiece used for talking. so its a very small unit = low sound. just a bit of info based on my experience with samsungs.
and its one of the reasons i dont buy samsungs, coz i can never hear them ring
so perhaps a

then for you. c902 speaker is quite loud, well for me anyway.
though its as if you want 2 12' subs plus dolby/thx etc etc, so it still might not be enough for you

Yeah that was me. But the size of the screen seems like almost the most important thing on a phone to most people here, so thats why I added it in.

I don't know which is better, but for the first time ever I'm thinking of jumping ship, particularly to Samsung. Just when I thought SE was producing better phones, other manufacturers go a notch higher, and I'm eyeing Samsung in particular because the design is getting more and more attractive to my eyes

I must say Samsung do have attactive offerings in their portfolio. After being annoyed with the W960i (UIQ is a horrid smartphone OS) I jumped ship to the Samsung i780 and it is without doubt the best smartphone I have ever used.
I now use my iPhone 3G on a daily basis simply because of the iPod function and the fact I have a MobileMe account so can get push e-mail on it but when I go out the phone I always take with me is my W890i. For me its the only phone from SE lately that offers a stylish design with half decent features. I agree it is probably overpriced and I would not have paid the RRP for it (bought it from here off PK) but it does give me a glimmer of hope that SE can produce something half decent.
I think we all realise 2008 hasn't been the best year for SE so lets hope with the release of the X1 and C905 (neither are world beaters, but do beef up SE's portfolio) 2009 is the year they try and regain their form.
