Why didnt you try my suggestion?

It seems you keep on flashing when there's something else casuing a problem due to messing with EROM and what not will only make things worse, hense bad block errors. If I were you I would stop messing about and wait for someone in the know to tell you how to fix things. Right now you're going from bad to worse.

You said so yourself that after flashing back the K800i firmware everything was normal again, the white flashing was caused by a known problem with new K800i phones, not a bad EROM. You should've used the search here and it would show you a few threads where this is mentioned. This is not helpfull now I know.

For now stop messing with the phone. Or only try harmless fixes. Do not try to fix your EROM or reflash the phone or you'll end up with a brick.

There are enough people here with loads of experience on how to fix this, all you need is some patience.

I agree. Seems his problems have gone from bad to worse. Think lessons have been learnt.

Hi there,

my name is Robert and I'm from the Netherlands. Recently, my K800i gave up working and showed nothing but a white screen when I tried to turn the phone on.

I read some articles on the internet that indicated that this is a common problem. I tried flashing the phone with XS++ but afterwards it didnt even turn on anymore, only the red led on the right side (low) blinked.
I think I flashed to a wrong firmware version ? Also I suspect the EROM might be damaged, but I read many different things about this. I don't know which version was on the phone originally, that is: before I tried to flash the phone.

Then I took it to a shop to reinstall the software. There, they told me this is not fixable anymore. They tried but couldn't complete the job. Now, the phone does turn on again and ends at the white screen again.

This is what I see when I connect the phone to XS++, which is still possible:

19:02:50| Baseband ID: 9900
19:02:50| Protocol Version: 3.1
19:02:50| Warning: IMEI name does not match GDFS name (IMEI:K800 GDFS:K700)
19:02:50| ...using IMEI name
19:02:50|
19:02:50| Profiling SEMC phone...
19:02:50| Platform: DB2020
19:02:50| OTP CID: 49
19:02:50| EROM CID: 53
19:02:50| EROM Color: Red
19:02:50| IMEI: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
19:02:50| Phone ID: K800
19:02:50| Region: T_MOB_INT_A
19:02:50| CDA: CDA102511/50 R12A
19:02:50| Firmware Version: R1CB001
19:02:50| EROM: R3A022
19:02:50| Ready for operation!

Then, when I try to flash it again (I've downloaded some european FS and Main Firmware but I'm not sure which one to use, so I took the one that seemed most logical (with Dutch language). When I hit "Flash" after selecting the files, I get:

19:05:26| Sorry, your phone is NOT SUPPORTED
19:05:26| Error: Cannot send flash loader
19:05:26| Error: Flashing failed
19:05:28| Disconnected... Unplug the phone

I downloaded this file for the FS: k800_r1ed001_fs_europe_3_red49.rar
and this one for the main firmware: K800_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED49.rar
I think I've also tried some 52 versions instead of the 49 versions above?
Again, I dont know what was on there originally and I think I've given XS++ permission to update something.
The "Not supported" notice did not come up when I flashed it the first time.

I'm completely lost here and I hope you guys can help me out a little bit.
*please* do not send me to another page with walkthroughs/tips&trics etc, because I've read many many of then and still can't figure it out. I'm very sorry for the f**k-up that I made and hope to hear from you.

If you need any additional info, please let me know.
Thanks a bunch in advance!
Kind regards,

Robert

@Bertslet: hi and welcome!

Your phone is CID53 which means xs++ doesn't support that phone. So, if you are going to flash it, you'd need CID53 files.

As it is CID53 you will need jdflasher + far manager: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=167997

Hi Tranced,

Thank you for your reaction! I think it's 53 now because I already tried to flash it?
Should I not go back to an older version? I dont want the fancy k810 stuff, I just want my K800 to work
I think originally the 53 wasnt on it?

Should I continue with your solution?
Kind regards,

Robert

edit: hm since its 53 now that doenst change the problem: let me rephrase the question: should i flash to 53 or an older version?

This indicates whether your phone is CIDXX or not.

That's the only alternative you have to use now as the others won't work.
