actually I am not. I have been feeling pretty rough for the last week (dosing up on pain killers) anyway I thought might as well register with a dr and get it checked out. So rang to register and they asked why, then said I may have swine flu and they don't want me coming into the surgery as there are sick people there. So a dr calls me back and goes through some stuff with me and basically they recon I have it but no longer test for it... I tell my boss and get my ass quietly chucked out of work which is alright and make sense. I have been advised to relax and take it easy for the next 3-4 days and it should pass.

To be honest I have no idea what the media are going on about. I have been taking 2 tescos extra power painkillers (paracetamol, aspirin and caffeine mixed into a fine cocktail) every 4 hours or so or twice a day and I am fully functional. I started getting symptoms last sat and for the first few days just put it down to tiredness or the heat or something.

I think the worst sympton for me is the headache and constant changes in heat, but I don't think I can moan atall. I think i only have a mild case as I havent had any of the really bad symptons

I did kinda laugh when the dr told me as I was jokin about it with people last night lol

I dont worry about it i just get on with my life day to day and be as clean as possible in everyway. Though i guess you can be as careful as possible but still not escape it. Just gotta not let it worry you if it happens to you or anyone you know then you just deal with it best you can Though its a little worrying when they predict there could be upto 100,000 cases per day gosh

bang on. To be fair I have no idea how I got it, although I did fly from america however 2-3 weeks before symptoms showed. It's really not that bad, just a pain in the ass and everyone jumps to shit when their hear it because the media have blown it out of proportion...

thousands have caught this flew in Aus. Most of them are in Victoria, the state in which i live. 10+ people have now died from it in Victoria, as well as more from other states.

though there have only been deaths because those who have passed from it, have had other illnesses at the same time afaik

Got quite a few cases here in South Africa. Weird i read somewhere that Rupert Grint, from Harry Potter, had cought it but recovered, havent heard of any other case where someone has fully recovered from it.

well i caught mine from my son who caught it from where he works, to me the headaches are the worse, felt like my head was in a vice! then the sneezing and snuffles and the cough! son's now just about got over his just left with a cough, im the same....hardest part is trying to stop yourself from coughing as once you start you cant seem to stop! so end up not being able to get your breath lol...today though feel tons better and to be frank i've felt worse than this when i had normal flu a couple of years ago that laid me up in bed!

Guess we've been lucky as its not been too bad for me and my son
