@Plank

You're saying the C902 is better overall. Give US some real proof. You're "proof" is a choppy video at a low resolution, in comparison to the N82/Renoir videos, which supposedly makes the N82 video look like crap (it "suxx", according to you) because the colors are so much better.

@star

I haven't tried the Renoir, but I've tried the N82 and prefer S60 (which the N82 runs). S60 has much more applications than any feature phone (flash based, most of the time) out there.

It really depends on your needs. I guess you could summarize the terms feature phone and smart phone into simple and complex. Not as in simple to use, but a simple platform.

Here are screenshots from the video samples from M-R posted by sowbran:

Both are in relatively low light. The C902 is an indoor shot while the N82 is a dusk shot from inside a moving car.

Which of these would look best when viewed on a TV?

nikolat will not be against if I try to answer partially
let me tell you about some s60 apps
GPS
Nokia Maps (maps and navigation)
other symbian apps (maps and navigation)
other j2me map apps, not for navigation mostly (Trekbuddy is an excellent app)

Internet
many browsers - Opera, Opera Mini, UCWEB, ...
messengers
Fring - multiplatform messenger, allows chat, calls, ...
Nimbuzz - multiplatform messenger, allows chat, calls, ...
others for ICQ/Yahoo/Google/MSN
youtube clients
blogging clients/twitter/facebook/RSS/whatever you can imagine in this line

WIFI not only allows using internet, but also local networs
SymSMB - Samba client/server allows accessing windows network, sharing folders on fone (comfortable using with laptop)
VNC client
Remote desktop client
Telnet/Putty ...

You have file managers, dictionaries, office apps, task manager, time apps, flash apps, different python apps
You can even use s60 phone as a webcam

there are some dedicated forums for more info.
But you should understand that s60 is powerfull OS with multitasking.

I cannot go into details with LG, but that's something very much different

Kikos, wow thats amazing. which remind me about one thing. you mentioned this but i would like to clarify.

If i am on WiFi/3G can i use my phone to webcam/talk to someone OVER THE INTERNET without having to call any local number? just use wifi/3g?
Does webcam work this way? like can i webcam using SKYPE with someone that is sitting at home on their computer?

Lastly, what OS does renoir use so that i can research about that?

There are some apps that run on phone and use phone cam as a webcam, but that's not skype. They are using own protocol and the other end of your connection should use the same app.
Not really interesting, or is it?

C902 video quality better than N82?? LMFAO! what a joke!! The poor c902 is NOT even capable of displaying VGA @ 30FPS vids recorder by a N82, the little c902s hardware is TOOOO weak, just go to M-R, GSMArena or SMape and look at the video samples taken by N82 there, nobody needs to post anything here because its a FACT that N82 does vid rec better than c902.
