Doubleduh, how exactly do you use your T68i (joystick) to control presentations. I assume you are talking about powerpoint presentations. Is there some special software required?

Thanks.

Its better then Infrared. When you transfer files from T68i to another phone. (faster, you dont have to stand next to each other, ...)

And i have bought bleutooth on my PC.

Handy to backup my telephone-numbers, down & upload self-maded themes, backgrounds and screensavers. On the T610 it will be even more handy. My girlfriend has a T300. It is not that easy to get a Midi-file in the T300. We don't have infrared on our PC.

Just to get one thing clear! Bluetooth is NOT faster than IR under good conditions.

BT has a max of 1Mbps and IR is 4Mbps in transfer rates.

Another minus with BT is that there still may be problems with compability. But it's getting better.

Forces is it's range (class 1 = 100m)
It's omni-directional (IR must be within 30 degree)
And it's low power demand.

Bluetooth offers about 1Mb/sec data rate. 30 feet (at best) range. Non-line-of-sight operation.

Nope. The effective data rate you will get is about 600kb/s. The 1Mb/s number comes from the fact that during the short periods of time there is a transmission the data travels at 1Mb/s, but transmission is not occuring 100% of the time.

For similar reasons the same argument goes for 802.11a/b/g, they do not actually get real speeds of 11 or 54Mb/s.
