I had a serious problem with my C901 with the last update. Everything on it was working perfectly until I got a message saying update your phone, and after that, it became practically unusable. The phone would shut itself off after a random amount of minutes. I couldn't turn it back on. I would remove the battery and put it back in- then maybe it would turn on, maybe wouldn't. A lot of the times, the blue LEDs would come on, and stay on. But the phone wouldn't turn on. The lights would continue to glow until you took the battery back out.
So, I flashed (or at least I think I did)* the phone using the R1GA028 set and it seems like it's doing okay so far.
*I say maybe, because it seemed to do it awfully fast. As in, like 15 seconds or so. I thought it would take much longer, so I'm thinking I didn't do it right, but one sign that tells me that it worked is that with the newest update it was on, you could select 60% for brightness. Now you can only go as low as 50%.

@MASVA: that's too much. With A2uploader it takes less than that.
@ehamiter: 15 seconds is the time it takes to access the FS. The FS and MAIN have more than 700 blocks each.

when i did use a2uploader, i added the main and fs files; hit flash; plugged the phone in with C held down; then it buzzed for a second and said ready. it didn't do anything else, and the tutorial said at that point to disconnect, so i did. the next step was adding customized files, which i did not have. is that step necessary? if so, what do i use? i looked on top sony, but i live in the united states, and i can't find anything for the u.s., or north america, or generic.
