No, the american people is not stupid, atleast not the majority.
But one thing the majority is, is brainwashed.
Just look at whose king of the hill, you voted Al Gore and got George W. Bush, and you don't do a thing about it when it's so obvious it's wrong. You get lame exuses in media. Like Bush's father and power had nothing to do with his son becoming the president.
And this is supposed to be the land of the free, the land of democracy, when you (the people) don't do anything about your situation. Your country is run by a bunch of loonies with hybris.
And then Bush has the guts to say, in a national speech, that every country has the right to choose it's own leader, and every country has the right to have democracy.
Like the american government had nothing to do with the election in Nicaragua.
I think it's time for the american people (and other countries) to put and end to this bullsh*t.
America is a great country, but it's being run by the wrong people.
I can actually see no difference between Hitler and Bush.. oh yes I can, Hitler was his own man and was driven by hate.
Bush has the government behind him, so he's immune, and he's driven by greed and stupidity.

Police the world? How could we all possibly have a say in that, its not up to the people any more. I agree with ElGato. But the little guys like myself can't do a thing to stop it. Honestly I think we should stay out of every other countries buisness, but what do I know. I'm only a voter, tax payer, and so on, I mean nothing to the politicans. Great country I live in here........

It's a very difficult situation.
Now this with Iraq. The "reason" for the coming attacks agains Iraq is cause of the diktatorship, and to free the people from this diktator.
Now I have seen a lot of interviews with people who live in Iraq and they all like Saddam Hussein, and say that they will pray to God when the americans attack and so on.
The people want Hussein, if they wouldn't, let them run him down themselves, they don't need american help.
Second, Hussein is being accused of hiding weapons.
So what, every country hides weapons give him a break, I haven't heard the slightest threat from him ever to attack america.
Besides, why does he have weapons!?
Well America GAVE HIM the weapons when Sovjet was a threat, and Hussein fought for America.
why is this never mentioned? That his weapons are really American weapons given to him?!
Now I propose that the world unite and start planning the downfall of the American government instead, there are a lot more people in America that don't want Bush then people in Iraq that don't want Hussein.
Who is the biggest diktator?

i agree. you cannot beleive everything in the media. i remember when they were showing footage of the bosnian war. they televised a serbian orthodox christian funeral and the newsmen were saying it was a muslim funeral for a young boy killed by serbian soldiers. when the orthodoc cross was clearly seen on the both the coffin and the staff of a priest. CNN is controlled and censored. people critisize the USSR saying how the TV and radio and all media there is censored, well the rest of the world is no different!!! all are pushing their opinions. and who is to say who is right or wrong. well apparently the morals of the one with the most bombs and most potential for destruction is the one who will dictate our fates. pathetic.

Many brave Americans fought and died for the right to bomb Iraq. Many brave Americans will go and make Iraq pay for the deaths on 911. We gave Iraq a chance to come clean. They did not. You some times have to break some eggs to make an omlet. It is sad civilians die in war, but that is why they call it War. If Iraq people rise up today and overthrow their Govt. maybe the US will not drop bombs.
