I think you are missing the point here. This phone is targeted at the younger consumers who would like the idea of a full touch walkman in a small package. Look at its price and you will realize this is a money making exercise, if it gets more adult interest then good for SE but I see kids taken in by this phone.

As sor the Walkman/Cybershot philosophy in SE phones, I think you'll find that the market has changed and moved on that the branding doesn't carry much weight anymore hence the do-it-all phones. Actually, it is SE themselves that killed the above mentioned sub-brands by not innovating on them. They kept on sticking with the same idea in different packages when other manufacturers caught on with them and then surpassed them.

I have a feeling SE will give us a high end walkman phone in the near future.

Problem is, even young consumers what sleek, hip and stylish stuff. Yendo doesn't satisfy any of these requirements. Does it really have to be that thick and unattractive, I mean, no function and poor marketing of a fat phone sounds like an unsellable disaster.

IMO this is the w205 successor. The w205 sells or sold very well here in DR. It was quite popular between people with low budget. This Yendo is not the exception if you ask me.

The UI may be laggy but I know it can get sold quickly even though it is a low end phone.

In all honesty I really do hope they sell, I just don't see how. The pricing is neither here nor there and as a result I have yet to see any in the flesh.

I rather think it's some reply to Samsung Corby, but a year later. Successor to the W205 is Spiro, this is imo more of an experiment.... I hope the lag is fixed though
